CBD oil.

I'm writing this post in a daze .I had the results of my lung biopsy on Friday and it showed I have lung cancer caused only by asbestos.I start Chemotherapy in three weeks .My family are obviously devastated my daughter has been able to get hold of some high grade CBD.oil and is insisting I should try it.What are you good people thinking?

i personally would wait to see how your body reacts to chemo,it is a rigorous regime which leaves your immune system very weak and although i am a strong supporter of the possible benefits of high concentration thc cannabis oil in the treatment of various ailments i feel it is too early in your treatment to experiment with it.wishing you good luck and strength in eradicating your cancer.........best wishes Ski's and Scruffy cat x

Several people I know have taken high grade very expensive cbd oil with low levels of thc and highly recommend it for pain relief. Just be very careful with the dosage. 1 drop under your tongue is sometimes all it takes. If your daughter knows enough about it , I personally wouldn't hesitate but again, the dosage is very important for someone whose system is not used to it. I want to tell you how I am very sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I am actually looking into medical marijuana for pain and insomnia. As some of you may know here in Canada recreational pot will be legal Oct. 17. I am not into smoking but there are some good information on edibles and CBD. Check out You Tube. One series you may want to watch is The Sacred Plant. Also, Dr. Sanjay Gupta did a few specials for CNN, It was called Pot vs Pills (I think). All that info should arm you with some knowledge. For Insomnia look at the work of sophie lamb, medical herbalist. She suffered from insomnia. She was on BBC Countryfile this year. She has a Facebook page and a website. She does consultations which can be on the phone. Also look at the work of Dr Ray Peat...all over YouTube. Scientific interviews of good quality.

High concentration THC cannabis oil is used for cancer. You refer to CBD oil, and as Llgr said above, cbd oil is recommended for pain relief. So it really depends what your daughter is trying to achieve. I recommend you and your daughter do more research. Facebook is a good place to start as you can get real personal stories, plus facts regarding the type of oil you need, if you decide to take that route.

I know. But THC is needed for cancer. Olivier Newton-John (singer/actress) even recently used it for her breast cancer, together with other treatment. Which is why she chose to get treated in the U.S. even though her doctors are here in Australia, as it is also illegal here.

Aww so sorry about your results Bob I too have asbestos in lungs but so far it has only affected my breathing but checks for cancer done regularly ..it my sound a bit crass at the moment but hope you have been to a good solicitor because we did not ask for that,it was the first thing my GP told me to do.Regarding CBD oil I wouldn't be qualified but talk about it but could you talk to Dr and sure if you Ger relief from pain why not in meantime all the very best, regards Ger

There are a number of medications which could help you. It would be something to discuss with your specialist. I have used CBD oil and found it did help with pain. My advice would be to try prescribed medications first as the short and long term affects are better known. Obviously do not rule out CBD oil but do not use it as a first resort.

Hi.. what a tough diagnosis to have.. You really need to build your immune , lots of good quality fresh veg, Turmeric or curcumin taken with black pepper is anti inflammatory and slows cancer, and alkalise the body with lemon and water or bicarb.

Check the internet too for all this info..

We have a well living group here, there have been some people eating vegan diets and more with some success, detoxing their bodies, rducing tumours. Check the internet, some folk go for an integrative medical approach and some work with CBD.. yes watch The Sacred plant if you can get access...

Personally I think would go with the treatment offered and see how it goes. I would ask the qualified people as it progresses their opinion and it's worth for your situation. All I can say is take it what have you got to loose. I know someone who took it for prostate cancer the doctor told him he would be gone in 2 years as he had a very aggresive type of cancer. 6 years later he is still here and the cancer has gone from aggresive to dormant and he took the oil for 3 months.

So sorry to hear that Bob. I looked after my old Mum, for 5 years after her Lung Cancer diagnosis. She was 85. And had 3 rounds of Chemo. I believe her positive attitude helped immensely ( though it's to soon for you, to find that) and her organic, low sugar diet. Hello, I'm so very sorry to read your news, you and your family must be devastated.

CBD - short for cannabidiol. CBD products are legal to buy in the uk because they're made from the leaves and flowers of hemp, a variety of cannabis plant cultivated to contain very little or no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive compound that gives you the 'high'.

The presence of THC makes cannabis an illegal Class B drug hence CBD is legal and now readily available .

"We know it can reduce anxiety = from Val Curran, professor of psychopharmacology, University College London.

Also: "There is good evidence that CBD can help with pain, epilepsy, and nausea during chemotherapy treatment" from Prof Mike Barnes consultant neurologist and author of the 2016 All-Party Parlimentary Group for Drug Policy Reform report.

I read the above information in the August 2018 edition of Good Housekeeping, I'd recommend you invest the £4.50. It's well worth it for the much longer, very informative article.

I think I would have no qualms about swallowing capsules of CBD if I were in severe pain rather than take high doses of strong painkillers.

Please do take care with tools such as Facebook, their are so many charlatans out there all over the world ready to prayon vulnerable people to make an absolute fortune. (I know this from experience of my ex-husband who spent many many thousands on miracles). If you do use Facebook set up all the privacy tools there are to protect you.

The kids and I invested in a Harley Street consultant who was also practiced in alternative medical care and diet for their Dad. A Dr Calebout, Belgian, he was really really helpful in bringing our Bob back from the brink and giving him several more years (it wasn't lungs).

I know your daughter will be meaning well but I would take the orthodox treatment first and I know that the specialist treating you have requirements about taking other supplements during chemo treatments as they can interfere with the success of the treatment, so do speak with them about that side of things.

I don't know much about the CBD oil but there is a UK informative website on it. I think later down the line when you've completed all treatment its something you could consider, chat with your docs for peace of mind.

I take it under my tongue but you have to hold it there as long as you can as it ingests through your mouth and let it dissolve, if you swallow it it will travel through your digestive system and tastes horrible. There are some very positive stories about treating cancer with canabis oil. I can understand your daughter wanting you to give it a try. I tend to think if it dosent make things worse its worth a try. You have to do what you feel comfortable with. I certanly would not drop conventonal treatment but maybe they can work together. If I was ever told I had cancer I’d take it my partner is a big believer of it and only wishes he knew about it while his sister was still with us there was something that had been on This Morning a woman she’d been told she was terminal and there was nothing else they could do for her this is when she started to buy the oil she is from the uk and obviously it’s illegal she was taking THC but she has been for further tests since and the tumors have shrank and she is still here today she says she will continue to take it.

I believe if it’s a life or death situatiin law or not I’d get it there are more and more ppl coming out saying CBD and THC work real people the program with her on eastenders and others pat butcher don’t know her real name that had abit of info about the types of things it’s been known to help people with epilepsy for instance it shows u a mother cooking and using it in food.

I don’t smoke cannabis or take any other drugs I’m hard pushed to have a paraciptamol for a headache but I would want it I’ve heard too many good things Not to take it. By the sound of it so has ur daughter other wise she would not have menchioned it she just wants u well.. Good Luck!

Hi, so sorry to hear of your latest piece of bad news. I've used CBD+ oil from Holland & Barrat, it aids relaxation and sleep. 3 drops using it's own dispenser under the tongue before bedtime and I'm off with the fairies. It's also supposed to be used as a food supplement, but God knows how if it puts you to sleep. You'd end up face down in your porridge or what ever.

Also research vitamin B17. Its been banned in the U.S. because it can destroy as well as prevent cancer. It is found in plum and peach seeds(hard to break them open- but it is possible, I've done it. Apple seeds contain it as well and yes you can eat them w no harm- they don't even taste bad. Look up bitter almonds online as well. It's sick that U.S. bands a vitamin because they power it has- guess its bad for the cancer business. Ugh! I will pray to Jesus for you, as well.
