Please Lina don’t apologise - you have a lot to deal with. I am so sorry to hear of your dear Mum’s passing. Have you tried contacting the consultant’s secretary yourself?

Wishing you luck with this and strength at this difficult time.

Lina I am so sorry to hear you've lost your Mum and also very sorry that you are feeling so ill. Has your GP precribed Carbocysteine ( Mucodyne ) to help you get the phlegm moving ? If he hasn't maybe you could ask for it. Another idea is to ring your Specialist's secretary - the hospital switchboard will put you through - and ask to be considered if there are any cancellations. Hi, So sorry to hear of your current demise. There are treatments out there for your disease but probably not readily available on NHS. There are lung transplants, lung reduction, lung valves & coils and stem cell treatments. Research any of these to find out if any of these procedures are carried out by an HNS hospital. The valves & coils are available at a number of UK hospitals, the UK representatives can give you names of participating hospitals UK wide. The stem cell treatments are abroad mainly in USA, Germany, Thailand, India & Ukraine. be careful with these sites as they will cost serious money & there is no guarantee of success. Start with the second opinion & work from there. I have been through most of these site but as I have a cancer I cannot be accepted. You may also try "Trial" sites for which you will need a ref letter from your specialist or GP.

Provided you are not a serious wreck like me, you may find something above that might interest you. Keep smiling.
