It does seem a way off when you’re waiting but it’s not really. Hope the results are good. Wishing you well. Xxxxxx

This is where I started nor I'm glad I did

Middle of July that’s another 2 weeks, it seems like a long time when you are waiting but it’s not too bad honestly I’ve had to wait up to 3 or 4 months before..I wish you well x

Next time S4M, ask for a print out of the results when you have the test. You're entitled to them.

Just going to say the same. I have always been able to have a print out. Even if you can’t interpret them yourself there are folk here who can explain the numbers but not diagnose, (if you see what I mean !)

So be prepared next time. And possibly ask your consultant to authorise the release of the result to you. Just in case you have a stroppy physiologist next time. But I have yet to meet one of those.

What do you mean reversibility sorry to be asking but learning all I can

Reversibility is when you do a Spirometry test and they take a set of readings. Then you are given an inhaled dose of bronchodilator, usually Salbutamol, the test is repeated. If there is a 15% improvement on the first set of numbers then you are likely to have asthma. But you can have both COPD and asthma.

Don't get scared, I was but learned that with treatments you can live with this pretty normal.

Whenever lossible which is 99% of the yime I get my scans, exrays, any test results when I get them done. Many people don't know they can have this info when tests gwt done thw same day. You may still have to wait for the official report but can research some things beforehand.
