Eosinophilic asthma

Hi need some help can anybody please advise if they have Eosinophilic asthma, as not sure what it is and the internet just give me no hope.

I thought that was brittle asthma NOT 💯 % So could be wrong

No it's worse. Has notthing to do with brittle as blood related.

Try searching eosinophils predominate.

If I was to stick tail on donky I think in round about way the saying you have lung disease caused by asthma & inflammation.

Generally only women suffer that sub type

Hello monju!

I have eosinophilia asthma. I was diagnosed 2 years ago. Never had asthma before. It is diagnosed by a blood test. Eosinophils are a type of white blood cells. E-asthma results when you have too many.

Don’t give up hope! There are treatments that are effective. I’m in the States but I’m sure treatment is similar.

I take a drug called Nucala. It is an injection given right under the skin and is given once a month. I am about to receive my 5th injection. It is a game changer for many people.

I have chronic sinus infections. My e-asthma often starts after or during a sinus infection.

If you have any questions I’d be glad to answer them.

Hi, I have just found out that on my notes it’s says 0.06 eosinophils, and I am just recovering from pneumonia too, but my breathing has suddenly gone really bad which appears to feel like it’s the top of my tummy that I can’t breath through, it’s every time I move it’s awful. Thanks xx carol

Can I ask when you say a game changer, has the Nucala injections helped with your esinophilic Asthma? I would also like yo know if its reduced sinus infections because I get those to coupled with ear infections. I'm waiting for Nucala treatment so fingers crossed

Yes it has definitely helped with my asthma. I had to have sinus surgery which helped with the infections. After all my sinuses were cleared of infection it has helped keep them clear. I also do sinus rinses with mometasone and saline twice a day. If I start to get an infection my physician adds an antibiotic to the rinse. This is very effective!

Thank you so much, in Britain we have to be put on a waiting list and this can be so long.

just looking for alternative to try and ease, could you please confirm if you get tried so quickly, as I am constantly tried and have to sleep, the consultant says this allows to the cells to repair, I am not sure if he was joking.

If i was in your postion I would ask your doctor few years from now your not going to drop IPF bomb sheel on me are you.

Ask about Monoclonal antibody therapy.
