Hard day

Well today has probably been one of the hardest in my life , knowing my daughter and granddaughter are no longer just 5 minutes away but 4 plus hours away has been hard to deal with , I know as the days/weeks go by it will become easier but right now at this very moment it hurts like mad I just want it all to go away .

Having an early night and hoping for a much better day tomorrow

Thank you all for listening

Much love Cales xx

That’s completely understandable cales. I hope you sleep well and have a better day tomorrow.

Your daughter and granddaughter will be missing you too. Xxxx

Bless you. It’ll be hard I’m sure but tomorrow will be better. I don’t know if you can travel but 4 hours is one morning. Take it one day at a time , talk lots, and FaceTime if you can. You’ll be fine . Xxx

It is really hard. I have been thinking of you today. I hope you manage to see them quite often. Do you face time? I know a few members who keep in touch with family in this way.

I felt desolate when my daughter left home and moved away but she has gone out of her way to keep in touch, I have forced myself to drive further than I would like to visit her, but I think we appreciate each other more now than we ever did! I am sure you will feel the same, but it does take awhile to adjust. All the best. x

Some years ago, 2 of my daughters set off together to go travelling around Thailand/Australia..I completely understand your pain!

They returned safely and are now happily settled with partners & children..although one of them does live up north..but it's only 2.5 hours away & I see her often!

Be proud that you have bought up such a strong, independent woman ❤️

Thinking of you

My daughter is 10 hours drive away. Luckily, she comes to see us three times a year. We couldn't make the journey to see her this year, but usually we manage it. Facetime is brilliant. The kids don't treat us like strangers when they see us, it's just like we've seen each other yesterday. You'll get used to it, but it will take a bit of time. xx Moy

Heart breaking for you and your girls, but 4 hours isn't far and there are phones and face time. Hopefully it will feel a bit better when you realise they're still with you, but just a little further away. Take care my lovely x🌹💓🌺

Hello Cales, yesterday I mentioned about my daughters being in Vancouver and New York. Today the one in New York got in touch to say her employer was sending her to Nigeria on Sunday to see a job there! Now, for some reason, I have become more worried and thinking of all sorts of scenarios! So, I will be joining you on the worry ladder! I hope you feel much better in the next few days but please know, you are not alone with this! Best wishes, Juney

Mine are not that far away but it is always difficult when you want to see them and it is not so easy sometimes. Use the tech you have and try skype, facetime or whatsapp if the mobile is connected by wifi then it will be a free chat on video whatsapp.

Be Well

Hi Cales, I agree with the other comments above especially about the use of face time so hope you have that facility its brilliant. I love seeing my sisters in person but in between time I face time my sisters almost every day and one of them only lives an hour away lol. If can't face time then you can skype which is also great as you can see them in person (as offcut says). It will take time as you say, but you will get used to it, and the hurt and pain will diminish. Take each day as it comes. Take care Karen xx
