My post is in relation to my personal experiences AND my wish to share such delight’s
I wish bad things would not happen in our hospitals BUT sadly the do.
For example when my dad was dieing of dehydration through hospital neglect or sepsis HOSPITAL said confirmed he sufferd septic seizures and kidney failure as result but could not comment further as no records was not kept.
Clearly that is quite damming for hospital to admit no records was kept but is better than admitting chronic neglect that go’d On in hospital’s given NHS crisis.
Sure we could pretend stuff like this is not happening BUT who is silence benefiting NOT my dad not myself or my aunt or even other suffers.
Even my GP as told me Hospital are bad places these days AND given my own finding experiences.
I would hole heartily agree.
Perhaps I should post quality care commission findings into my various complaints re hospital care neglect reckless behaviour.
I think most of us realise that the NHS as a whole is struggling and errors are happening on a daily basis. It’s not right and things need to change rapidly. Xx
Morning Carole & Pete Yes, I totally agree with you. This is not a "Now" thing it's been happening for Years and The Higher Archy have seen it happening but have not done anything other than put Administrators in on Huge Salaries to sort it out, Truthfully they have all made a Right Cock up of it all, Too Many Chiefs etc. Yesterday my Normal Hospital Appointment was extended to Double the time as Not enough Nurses for Bloods, the notice said 1 hour wait. I know we all Love our NHS, and we, as Humble Servants are Watching & Experiencing a Magnificent Structure Crumble. I feel a lot, and I mean a lot of Rich Leeches should pay Back into the NHS. xxxx Sorry I've gone on a bit. Love n Hugs to you Both XXXX
Whilst In agreement with the statement "bad things happen". It pays to remember that the vast majority of things that happen are good. It's human nature to dwell on negative events and are more often reported in the media than positive ones.
Hi Jeff, I just attended a local meeting about the most recent care reveiws in my city. According to them our city is getting it right, but could improve. While public are telling me about elderly being sent home with no care after hospital instay and ambulance staff having to go and get them basics like bread and milk. This is apart from misdiagnosis resulting in incorrect treatment or no treatment, lack of help for long term chronic illness & care but to name a few. I know funding is an issue however as already said these poor service issues have been around for years, it's just getting worse as funds effect the issue too. NHS do lots of good work, but the picture is not as rosy as the inspectors would make it seem, as we the experienced see. Or are our experiences just a one off , I think not. The NHS gives good value for money with dedicated staff, however the system does fail the patients on occassions and it is foolhardy not to accept that is the case.
Agree Jeff things are bad and we can only go by our own experience - because of past awful experience at my nearest large hospital where I believe their negligence nearly killed me twice - I now have lost that last resort option and will call paramedics (but rarely do) but will refuse to go to hospital which is sad when you live alone and have few places to turn to when in need in those early lonely scary hours - we are here to share our experiences and if they are bad so be it. meanwhile Jeff try and find some time for yourself and maybe get some respite care in place to take the pressure off of yourself take care xxx
