Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is developing guidance on tobacco prevention, cessation and harm reduction.

We're looking for people who have used stop-smoking services to join the committee to ensure the guidance is reflective of the experience and needs of the public.

The recruitment advert is here: nice.org.uk/get-involved/ou...

This explains more about the role, the commitment required and what we can offer to help you take part, including expenses, honorariums, training, and support. If there are any questions please get in touch by emailing PIPrecruitment@nice.org.uk or calling 0161 870 3020.

Thank-you for reading and thank-you to Britsih Lung Foundation for allowing us to engage with their members.

POST APPROVED BY BLF.

I still smoke and only started for 1 of two reasons in my mid 20’s

1st Was every none smoker I knew died of lung cancer and when I never smoked WELL that scared me more than smoking.

Other was I like smell of smoke on x gf breath.

But funny thing is my DNA test picked up being a sucker for nicotine GUESS it would anyway.

Now I still smoke clearly not as much BUT find I can’t breath when I stop becouse my lungs start trying to clear gunk tar mucus over production.
