I get really really tired hun but my vitamin d was low too so have been put on vit d. Tiredness is part of copd I'm afraid but as for the tight chest I would suggest you go to your g.p to get checked. Have you always had the right chest or is it just recently? As I've noticed my chest has been worst with this heat we have been having xx

Hi Minxy, yes its normal to be tired, your tight chest needs looking at by the doc. You need to keep as active as you can. Have you been given any inhalers to try, I am in early stages of this disease. I have Ventolin and Spiriva Respimat. It took me ages to find an inhaler that didn't have bad side effects, but I kept pestering the GP and respiratory nurse to change them each time I had side effects.

You need your GP on your side, they should have set you up to see a respiratory nurse to keep an eye on your stats and inform you of what you can do to help your condition.

My son moved out before xmas, so I got a pup to keep me company and help keep me active, it's the best thing I ever did. I can now walk up to 5 miles depending on how I feel and the weather of course.

It's not the end of the world, you need to get I the right frame of mind and fight like hell.

We are always here to help you and we will.

Take care.

Hi, Unfortunately this is a common problem with this disease. You have to get used to pacing yourself in all of your normal activities especially at this time of year with the heat. If you have a tightness in your chest make an appointment to see your GP as a precaution.
