As lung Dieased and inquisitive I could not help using my spirometer on family and pub colleagues;)

What become apartment WAS my shock dismay at how many people there are nursing 🤱 angina quite unaware of there lung health might be causes

Thanks medical professional PERHASP blf might want to interject as to there national lung health findings when they had public blow into marvellous device FEV1 spirometer.

Coz when I tested family pub colleagues the average FEV1 was 1.56

Clearly am not expert on bull that’s why doing post as clearly these people public given poor lung health mainly COZ this no intrest in testing on frontlines till pneumonia as set in IS a worry consern.

How many other lung diseased have tested family and work pub colleagues TO find the pneumonia away from crisis.

Is shocking and disgraceful AND farce of FEV1 system well am stumped 🤔

Clearly the hole country THE United Kingdom SO to speck must be Frrr Or FEV1 is a farse Of a measuring tool.

But given my own shocking findings WHy is not more being done AFTER all pneumonia thrives with neglect and in cold squealed condition’s THAT would could argue call the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Great Britain.

I believe health professionals do think that there is a vast number of undiagnosed cases of COPD in this country. I was only diagnosed at the moderate stage because I took a cable car up 3500 metres to the top of Mount Teide in Tenerife and experienced respiratory distress. So I'm really grateful I took that cable car because it meant I was diagnosed sooner rather than later and was able to change my lifestyle before my COPD changed it too much without me realising.

Hi Ergendl. That’s where I found my biggest problem. I didn’t even think twice about going up but when I got there I couldn’t breathe. I told my Husband and we went back down. It’s only when we were getting back in the cable car that I saw the notice on the door. People with breathing problems shouldn’t go up. I’ve never thought my breathing was bad till then. I just knew I had mild asthma.

Hi Mavary I think in lifetime would been nice if doctors gp’s out of intrested would of offered spirometers test but unless you go in total crisis nothing is done well apart from blame the patients

The NHS could offer a test I suppose, but many people don't even bother to take up the ones on offer. We do have to take responsibility for our own health and there are enough tv warnings about health testing.

Hi I think bad doctors health care professionals blame the patients TAD poor excuse.

But agree there should be screening BUT if the don’t ask the don’t have to pay 💰 but all the doing is dening patients chooses and deferring cost.

By that time IT AE and cost is horrendus with out cost to patients.

I was shocked 😮 given my own test research investagaitiins how poor people lung function is.

Just a thought, my husband used my peak flow meter and his reading is low......but his breathing is fine so no need for any drug interventions .

Its me who had the high reading in the past and still developed pneumonia .......now my body has become steroid dependent.

He is ten years older than me , used to chain smoke ...but it's me who is poorly.

in reply to knitter

Hi Knitter I don’t know how it works BUT am only one in family of smokers with bad lungs.

Guess my lungs are bushed as am only one who started smoking in mid 20’s

Think if had been smoker in youth I might been ok.
