I take QVar twice a day and Anoro Ellipta in the morning. I have been on all inhalers available and these two I have found to be the best. I still occasionally use Ventolin but not as much as when I was on S[Spiriva and simbicort.

First of all welcome from a sunny south Wales( unusual I know). My feeling is, sometimes your own body tells you what is best for it. If you fell Seretide, helps you more. Go for it x

Hi Patsy and welcome just say to your GP you don't think it's working I'd personally would rather have Seritide 500 myself..Dr can't be a mind reader lol take care

No longer prescribing seretide in Fife. I have had Relvar for months now. Don’t know if that is the reason for repeated chest infections but I wonder!

I'm from down south but visit my sister in Yorkshire. I'm likely to be there in June (yet to be arranged). Not Leeds but Bridlington. I'n the past my sister took me on a coach tour of the dales. We don't travel out as much now. However I still love Yorkshire. xx

I hope you spent plenty of brass in Yorkshire, they need the money:))

My sister and I were brought up to be very careful with money. We count my visit as a holiday, so spend more than our normal but still a lot less than other people do! Where I live is a very expensive area. I keep reading that I live in an affluent area but I'm not among the rich people. I used to say "Poor but happy. At least I enjoy good health."

Hi Patsy, welcome to this lovely group, I don’t use that inhaler so can’t give any advice on it but I’m sure some of the great people on here do and will give you some excellent advice. Take care.

Welcome Patsy49

I live in Leeds too with my husband who has severe emphysema.

He has tried various inhalers including Relvar but finds Symbicourt and Spiriva work best for him. Give the Relvar a try and if you aren't happy with it ask to go back on your previous medication if it works for you.

Best wishes

Corin

Hi hun, welcome to the forum. I am on revlar and it has been a god send to me and since using it I haven't had to use my Ventolin. Everybody is different but we each know our own bodies and if you feel it's not working for you then please mention it to your Dr. Trial and error I guess atm. I wish you well and hope you find something that suits you, god bless xx
