Taking PFT's

I have had PFT’s at other Pulmonary Drs. office but was sent to Hospital of Excellence for a definitive diagnosis.BTW, I’m in the US. My cat scan showed Bronchiectasis with some fibrosis, multiple small nodules and trapped air (asthma). My problem is with taking PFT’s. I didn’t use to have a problem but the last 2 times, I’ve had incomplete tests because when they clip my nose and ask me to take a deep breath and blow out, the second time I try it, I try to inhale thru my nose and it messes the test up. We tried multiple times. They said this is to see how much volume, I take in and blow out. Has anyone else had this problem? It upsets me that they can never get a good reading.
