Hi Southp, you need to be tested to see what’s going on. Don’t take no for an answer. Wishing you well. Xxxx

Hi sassy I know I do ,feel like I'm on a conveyor belt at docs in 10 mins out NEXT please i mean I know there busy but come on, I need to see the same person instead of explains ever time I go in my history which they should have in front of them anyway sorry bout moaning started on my backup again last night cos couldn't breath feel a bit better this morn

Hello Southup

Several suggestions, go to your GP to have a check up because repeating the same antibiotics doesn’t always clear your infections you need some blood/sputum tests to see what is going on.

2. A treatment review would see if your preventer is still effective, often it is down to our inhalers and inhaling techniques

3. Get a referral to talk it over with a respiratory specialist if you haven’t been to hospital for a while.

Good luck x

Yea gonna do that ,there's no specialist at our surgery and seen different doc every time need to see someone who specialising in it thanks happylondon

When things got complicated I asked for a referral to the local respiratory unit at the nearest hospital, GP can’t say no, you are entitled.

Yea thanks gonna do that how long do you usually have to wait is it a long waiting list

in reply to Southp

Well you have to say politely asap but laying it thick😉.. like I have had a really rough time lately, I really would like a referral to the respiratory unit to investigate what is going on because I am absolutely worn out.

You can add I must work you know, I can’t keep going on like this. That usually does it because they like people to go back to work, it’s good for their stats and bonuses..

I take roxithromycin, which is similar. My pulmonary nurse put me on it about 12 months ago. She said it acts as a barrier when I go out and guards against any nasties that try to attack my system. Seems to work OK.
