Holiday recommendations in Europe? Warm but flat!

Hi. Does anyone have any holiday recommendations for Europe? I have Stage 4 COPD (FEV1 hovering around 21%) but very lucky that I don't really get exacerbations, just very breathless. I'm reasonably mobile if I pace myself. When I search online all I get is insurance info. I'm fine with insurance (M&S Bank, hugely cheaper than the "specialists"), Fitness to Fly letters, liaising with airlines and all the other admin, but everywhere we go is hillier than I expected despite all the advance research I do! Last year we went to Tavira in Portugal which was really nice but a long and serious climb to the station to go out for the day. I'm just looking for somewhere warm/hot with interesting places to go (me) and a decent beach (wife), reasonable local transport and flat or at worst gently hilly. The warm bit is important so not the Netherlands thanks, much as I like the Dutch.

Try Menorca or Majorca town Menorca is quieter but very scenic Majorca has the culture both gave the sun good luck worth a look at either

Tennarife in the Canaries is said by friends who are wheelchair users to be flat, and warn all year.

Have you thought of doing a cruise? You can visit numerous places around the Med (or anywhere else!) and they have tons of stuff to do on board if you don’t feel up to going ashore at one of the stops.

😊

We've thought about it, looked online, but not yet made the jump to actually doing it. The pricing often seems to be a little opaque (drinks, tips, etc) which puts me off a bit. I need to look again!

Hi, I have the same sort of problem and dec ided to try Malta last year! Fantastic, and if you like old and history the island is great. It has great taxi services like uber and also round the island open top buses where you can hop on and hop off. I stayed in the Plaza Hotels, Sliema and I can recommend it for sure. It's on the sea front and has lots going on around it, and just a short busride into Valetta city.

Hi have you tried looking at Lanzarote, Tenneriffe or any of the canaries.

In the main many areas are flat until you stat to go to volcanoes, then take a coach ride. Lanzarote offers many pleasant levelish walks on paved boulevards.

I can recommend a resort called Roquetas de Mar on the coast near Almeria city in southern spain - the whole resort is completely flat with a long lovely promenade by the beach to walk along or the resort has places that hire out wheelchairs, scooters etc it is primarily a Spanish resort but there is an english expat community and associated cafes/bars etc. and some Uk tourists, but also lovely spanish tapas bars, indian, italian, chinese etc. also everything is within a walking distance especially if you stay in the Playa Serena area of the resort, the best part. the place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere no groups of drunk kids etc, you can fly direct to Almeria airport which is about 30/40 mins from resort. if you are interested let me know and I'll be glad to give you any other info. my late mother lived there.
