Hi all- new here. So recently (last 3 months or do) when I sleep I wake up a cple times at night and need to take a deep breath. I can hear my lungs basically reflate and crackle. It happens about 3x a night.

This doesnt happen during the day or when I am awake and lying down....it happens only during sleep....and after I take deep breath it is fine until I wake again with the same problem.

Anyone else ever experience this please help, as it is so unnerving!

I would go to your GP and/or specialist and mention that...

Hello Vdub, and welcome to our forum, if I were you I would go to your G.P about this problem before it gets any worse, it could be an infection of some kind so best get it sorted. Please let us know how you get on? 👍

sounds very much like it may be sleep apnea you need to discuss it with you GP as already suggested

Have been... They hear nothing...but obviously I'm not sleeping when there. Give me inhalers/prednisone which do nothing.
