Sorry if I take another break.

Such is life..I coughed too much, burst a cyst and coughed up blood. It has happened before, one of the downfalls of LAM, it burns like mad but there’s not much you can do about it so I am in bed with chicken soup for now.

Sweet Aria sends her love too!

Fran xx

Sounds very painful Fran. You're getting your fair share of problems just now. The chicken soup will help a bit. I don't know anything about LAM but it sounds very complicated. Have a restful afternoon. Lilian xxxxx

Chicken soup was good thanks

I’m going to catch up on some sleep 😴 xxx

I remember looking up your condition way back, it’s so rare it’s not even a Zebra, or at the very least a Zebra crossed with a Unicorn...

😂wish it was a white elephant..

Hi I read an old reply you had written to someone and called rare disease zebra and I too have lam do I qualify as a zebra with a splash of unicorn xxx much love mel xx

Doctors in training are told “if you hear the sound of hooves think horses not zebras.” i.e. elimnate the common conditions before flying off into flights of fancy. Doctors are reluctant to consider rare diseases because they don’t want to look like naive junior doctors jumping up and down, convinced that they found a rare disease. This forum is brilliant for those with rare diseases because it puts you in contact with others. There are about half a dozen here with Obliterative Bronchiolitis, I would have no chance of meeting them elsewhere. How many LAMers are there on the forum?

Oh no I have not exerienced that yet Fran but would really panic and feared the worse if it did so at least I know it is a cyst bursting if it does but that's not good for poor you ... you have certainly been through it this past 2 weeks ...how many times have you had anything lam related happen regarding lung collapse or cysts bursting? I hope your all bandaged up and fit to enjoy your lovely country in spring as bet it's very beautiful and can't wait for your pics you will surely share xxx Get well quickly my friend xx😉💕

Hi my LAM Sis 🧚‍♀️

Can’t count..when I have a chest infection with a bad cough..I’m older than you, must be a wrinkled cyst 😃 no bandages no, it’s inside..it just stings, paracetamol I think for now..laying still and trying not to cough again!

Did you phone in??how are you?

Fran xx

in reply to

Ha ha it was a figure of speech regarding the bandages x yes it's official my bite (unknown culprit) still to be identified and caught has become a little infected I'm currently at home with more AB's with my knee on top of a cushion .heartrate still very fast but just staying In bed ... I try stay away from hosp as that's the worse place for me ... anyway you take care xx we are zebras splashed with a bit of unicorn and like I told katinka so few in numbers but strong in heart and mind xxx

Hello dear Fran ❤️💜❤️

So sorry to hear that you're struggling still. You've had a lot to cope with lately, and indeed over the past few months!

Wishing you a steady recovery. Stay in your bed, resting, that will help. And you've Aria for cosy company!

I've got my fingers crossed on a brewing chest infection, doing all I can to stave off taking steroids....do so hate the side effects. Hoping you're not being troubled too much with them 🤞 Otherwise, I'll see you for a middle night chat! At least my back more comfortable although still on some of the more minor meds. So I've stopped crying!!! 😫 I do find meds difficult, mood changing and depressing!

Have an improving day, my friend

Lots of love 🌺❤️💜🌸🍇🍒

You’re right, of course, Fran ⭐️

’It will pass!’ was one of the truisms I heard during teacher training....a long time ago. It’s been a long time...!

It’s a lovely ☀️ sunny and mild day here in North Wales. Let’s hope it continues for us all now 😎😎 💜💞xx
