ICONIC M6 UFO SPACE SHIP ... Would It Surprise You To Know Is CLAD & STILL Is In Asbestos

Do you recognise this fine building? It is in the Forton (Lancaster) Service area on the M6 Motorway. It is clad in Asbestos to this day. How do I know?

Well I have been talking to x tuners employe used to work in the Turners Asbestos Cement (TAC) Drawing Office as a Draughtsman. Much to he’s shame, Quite a Intresting CHAP with lots to say to he’s credit TOLD me one project he had a hand in was this tower's design. and he always keept an eye on it, as I pass, to see if they have removed the Asbestos panels. They never have.

Needless to say he as lung issues occupation asthma AND am sure those who worked in the offices was lied to and just as much at risk as those ON work floor.

As to is shame WELL I told him is got nothing to be ashamed about THE lies involved Health boards and professional bodies owners nothing he was involved in just a other victom of Uk Asbestos industry.

But how lucky am I to have found be talking to Turners Asbestos Cement draughtsman TURNERs would be realling if they knew.

Also Trafford council Manchester sent me letter re my Turners Asbestos cement factory freedom of information request ASKING me for address of old Turners Asbestos Manchester factory.

But like I pointed out was only one Asbestos cement factory called Turners Asbestos cemtmet In Trafford Park Manchester.

And asked our public electicted council IS that reflection of workers safety environmental protection policy that went on at time Turners was in full swing.

Many schools had/have a lot of asbestos in them, and many teachers have lung disease. My daughter-in-law's mother died of mesothelioma at age 66. She spent many years teaching home economics in Lancashire schools, and it was thought she may have developed mesothelioma because of the asbestos mats on ironing boards as well as the buildings themselves having asbestos fire proofing. She tried to claim compensation but was eventually told that Lancashire didn't have the knowledge of asbestos damage to warn her before she left them. She died before she could challenge this. Very sad. Good luck with your campaign xx

Hi sorry to read about your mother’s experience WHAT year did she work at schools from AS I find that quite outrageous really BUT am not surprised really.

Is a young doctor from Lancashire 40 with mesothelioma and he say’s it’s days from school WHEN I was reading is story DID think about you and your mother and how your mother was riped off at her weakest.

Guess that’s my driving force as I don’t care if my dad gets out JUST as long as they pay one way or other.

Morning JAS. I'm afraid that the government and the scum that put profits over the health of ordinary people have something that we do not, namely TIME ! All they are doing is playing the 'long game'. I have the absolute, utmost respect for what you're doing and for having the courage of your convictions, ( a rare quality these days. ) and I wish you the best of luck in your fight.

I do wish u luck but my god if turners are anything like a certain hospital not informing me of my progressive lung disease for 2 years the big wigs will certainly close ranks and cover their sorry a - -e's ... I admire your fighting spirit though so keep going x

Turners in my view are just as bad as they new risk BUT like you have said about your own progressive lung diease HOSPITAL’s are just as bad if not worse as they cover it all up.

Thus made it all possible.

How many times have I stopped there! The view from the top is fantastic. At first it was a fancy restaurant. Then it became a truckers stop. Then it was closed for a while. Don't know what it is now.

I guess they'd struggle to remove the asbestos panels safely with all the constant traffic there. The company operating it wouldn't want to lose a week's takings. They probably think it's safer leaving it as it is.

STOP PRESS. There is a fire raging NOW in Glasgow and firefighters are using anti-asbestos masks and warning the public to stay clear of a blazing night club.

Date: Friday 23 March.
