Hi my lamp arrived yesterday my question is how do other people use them I have Bronchiectis (sorry about spelling) and COPD. Should it be on 24 hours a day or just in the evening any advice would be appreciated.

I have salt lamps and generally have them on most of the time when I'm the house, not so much so in the summer to be honest. They take very little electricity.

Thanks for your reply not so worried about the electricity more concerned with getting maximum benefit, so tired of being tired and a bit down due to my lack of being able to do much, perhaps I am hoping for to much.

I have asthma only mildly winter mainly but sinus problems all the time (recently had surgery). I don't know if the lamps helpmto be honest but they look nice!

I've had mine for over a year - very pretty but I don't think they do a thing for breathing.

My daughter bought me a lamp this weekend Rather a large one too. so unpacked and placed it in my bedroom. . And I must admit already my blocked sinuses are dried .. and I can now feel some air going into my lungs ...but I did wonder if this one is too big for my bedroom .. I dont have it on 24 hours because i feel I can taste the salt .

Does anyone else get that taste ?

During a stay in Hospital I was tried with a solution of saline in a nebuliser which proved most harmful and reduced my ability to breathe by 24%. Most people seem to benefit from salt lamps but for me they are a big no-no. I have COPD Emphysema and 71 years old and stopped smoking when diagnosed 13 years ago. Just beware.

Is a salt lamp the same as a salt air purifier?
