Tugging sensation

Hi all, have got emphysema, bronchiectasis and had two colds this year, chest infections, usual rubbish - now off work and on long term antibiotics. Since yesterday I have noticed a tugging feeling at the right side of my body just down from my armpit. I have also got a pain just below in my waist. Does anyone know if this is pleurisy or where the lung sticks to the muscle wall? Should I get medical help or ibuprofen?

Hi, Fiona. I'm not really qualified to say what your problems might be. It's always better to get unusual symptoms checked out by your GP, even if the result is being told it's just sore intercostal muscles. All the best.

Thanks Ergendl, I was getting a bit panicky yesterday afternoon but went to doctors again this morning - the third visit over the last three weeks. At last they have agreed something is not right so have had x ray and new antibiotics plus follow up appointment for next Tuesday. Hope everything is well with you.

I'm fine, thank you; just struggling to get a new Ventolin prescription from my surgery - they treat them like gold dust!
