Afternoon tea from mothers day

I know its a day late but I wasn't able to post this up until I learn how.

Yesterday started not very well with me having to go to A &E in the very wee hours with an asthma attack. Spent 6 hours being treated and arrived home at 7am in the morning, having had very little sleep. Came home feed the guinea pigs, had breakfast and went to bed to try and sleep. After I woke up my girls spent the morning creating this very special afternoon tea. My middle daughter made the scones and macaroons you see here and the other two went to the shops and got the rest of the ingredients to finish it off.

We had planned to for afternoon tea but had it for lunch. The tea set was a present to my daughter (middle one) when she was 7 years old. Now 17 has become a great baker and made sandwiches that I could eat. (I have another long term health condition which restricts my diet). The sandwiches had egg and avocado and the tower of white chocolate fingers as I can't eat ordinary chocolate. Served with clotted cream for the scones and jam but best of all decaf earl grey.

Although I was still feeling really tired with a slitting headache due to the salbumtol inhaler I used during my attack and the nebulizer of the same thing it made me smile and feel very loved. :-)

No that's not shortbread but a Jenga styled pile of white chocolate fingers. Didn't work very well as a Jenga game but was very tasty.
