Brass monkey weather here in the West Midlands.

The wife's done nothing but stare through the window since it started snowing.

It'll be teatime soon, so I suppose I'd better let her in.

Heavy snow in Cornwall and that is pretty unusual. I am lucky to have very kind neighbours so one brought my newspaper for me this morning, another will pick up my meds tomorrow. Had a nasty asthma attack early in the week so not taking any risks and staying indoors until this is over.

You're quite right Sassy - it was naughty of me. It would have served me right if the wood burner had gone while waiting for the logs she'd been collecting from the woods. lol πŸ˜ŽπŸ™†πŸ‘

Ha HA , joking aside though can cope with the snow so far but how to beat the low temperatures. I'm in the West Midlands, not heavy snow but continuos. To spite having heating on constant my room thermometers are saying only 18 so looks like I will have to turn the boiler settings up, the first time in years. So hope my warmhome discount covers the extra cost. Having a lazy day today.

Terrible snow in South Devon. It's virtually unheard of here! I don't think I will be going anywhere today! Another boring day on my own :( x

I have closed the workshop down due to the threat of freezing rain, here in Southampton. I might not bother to open again until Monday. Presently @ 1400 hrs the snow is still falling but no blizzard or white out yet and have just heard airliner fly overhead so the airport must still be open.

From the radar a big mass of cloud just started to hit the South coast coming up from France, so expecting it to start to get worse soon.

We finally have snow in West Dorset. Very rare here too. But it's settling quickly because the ground temperature is so cold. The road outside our house doesn't look as though it's been gritted and at the moment cars are crawling past very carefully.

Stay warm everyone. :) Jan

No snow to speak of in S.W. Scotland. Just hard frost and a very strong wind at the moment. Extremely cold and very difficult to be outside but needs must as I keep animals who require my attention every day. Making sure they have enough drinking water is a major problem when the frost is so hard. I really struggled on Thursday because of the wind chill so I am not looking forward to today's visit.

Dreadful here round Manchester but at least our front path is clear thanks to a brilliant son in law who came unannounced with a bag of grit and a shovel.

I’m in the West Midlands too. Schools closed here today. The snow in the back garden is up to the top of my dogs legs!

Snow up to the top of your dogs legs? I hope the dog's a Jack Russell and not a Great Dane. lol πŸ˜œπŸ™‹

I am in Hertfordshire where we had quite a scattering on roads and pavements up till yesterday, nothing more today though they say there will be this afternoon and into the night so we shall wait and see. I do not go out if snow on the ground as find it to hard going to walk through it.
