Cold Spell

Hello Friends,

I have just heard about the Arctic on the radio. ⛄️When you think it is 6 degrees out there and the ice is melting..what have we done to the environment..no surprise there are so many lung diseases.. 😢

Aria 😻is sleeping through it! Wish I was a cat! 🐱

Bea sent me that picture of Aria condemned behind the windows as she kept on coming in and out. Bea said it feels like -16!! 😱

Here it is -4, so she got me a train seat for Sunday. She said Mum stay put.

Thinking aloud about medical progress and natural healing etc. I am having those discussions here because the French are going green, organic etc..and the French government has decided to impose 11 children vaccination because of the dramatic return of measles, tb etc

So there is a lot of defiance..where they see opposition I don’t. The English expression « complementary medicine » is appropriate.

I said I am taking everything and doing everything to live as painlessly as possible..

I don’t think I told you about my trip to the naturopath last Wednesday, I had to hold little tubes of homeopathic medication and she passed a pendulum over them. I thought I must be desperate 😃but it was an eye opener. I ended up with 3 meds, one for the lymph and suffering from LAM it sounds appropriate, one for the stomach and it is definitely on as I have just finished 7 days of antibiotics for my foot injury, finally one for pleurisy! I have complained about that pain in my rib cage for ages, I even had a CT scan but the specialist probably saw it and it is recurrent so nothing he can do really apart from what he is doing already..well the pendulum went crazy on the pleurisy and I have to take those drops 5 times a day for a month.

I keep my finger crossed 🤞

Hugs 🤗

Bea is right to get you to stay put Fran and relax if you can. Aria is staying warm like it or not.

It’s very cold here with just a light covering of snow. Not planning to go anywhere.

Our little grandson is having his first lot of jabs today bless him. He’s 10 weeks old.

I do hope your homeopathic medication works well for you. Fingers crossed.

Have a good day. Xxx 😘💖

Have a nice day and keep warm at home xx

Hi Fran yes ive always had my jabs and given them to all my girls too..I don't see the issue, but then thats my opinion/decision as a parent!

I'm glad you're exploring all avenues with your conditions...do whatever works! And I'm sorry things are so rough right now for you with lung problems and leg pain...it never ends! Bea is right...stay put theres no rush.

-7 here this morning and a heavy frost...but sunny and bright so no school closures or snowmen just yet!

Have a good day today..xxx

Hi my dear Anne

Oh dear -7 is very cold. Keep warm!! I am sorry for the children.

It is biting cold!! This polar air and wind is a killer honestly I haven’t known Paris like this in my lifetime.

It is supposed to snow tomorrow but temperatures go up on Friday. Bea said at home water fountains have turned to ice.

Nice to see my aunt and cousin.

Take care xx

Fran

Hi Fran it's very cold here and lots of snow. A lot of people believe in complementary medications I've thought about it myself, I have a friend who is a great believer. I hope it helps you fingers crossed. Majt 👍🌻 🌹 x

in reply to

Thank you Majt. I am trying, who knows..because the 7 days antibiotics, which were for the injured leg helped with the chest pain but now it is back.

I don’t feel like going to a doctor here, they see you have LAM they put you in hospital for never ending tests 😃!!

I will be home in 4 days..

🌸💕🌺 Fran

Hello Joyce

Thank you for your message. So pleased for your sister-in-law!!

I will add that place to my Lancashire holiday list!!

No change for me really..my leg is taking a long time to heal, steroids I think, so everyday I disinfect it, I cover the wound with a medicated lint they gave me and a bandage. I will go to see the nurse when I come back.

Take care xx

Happy i think you need to give your war wound a little more fresh air and a little less disinfection, dry wounds heal a lot more quickly, perhaps just a light dressing for protection and you will be skipping down the Champs-Élysées for the full 1.9km before you know it..........best of luck my happy friend :)......Skis

in reply to skischool

My dear Skis

Thank you for your advice. When I am in the room I let it dry but it is still bleeding if you want to know, I must disinfect it and put a non-stick bandage otherwise it would rub on my sock and trousers..

I empathise with Neymar 😝

I have a match tonight by the way.

See you xx

sorry i didn't know it was still bleeding.i do hope you are not going to the match, you will freeze to death but i hope you give Marseille a good thrashing, are you on for Neymar tonight or will di maria take his place?xx

in reply to skischool

Well I was surprised.. it is definitely the steroids..

I could have had seats..so sad it is so cold for once I am in Paris..I thought better not it would lead to an early death 😃😃

No he can’t play Marseillais destroyed him on Sunday night, he went out on a stretcher..he may need an op so says his Dad. I mean the whole of Brazil is counting on him for the world cup. I hope we give them what they deserve tonight 😱😂

Hope all those herbal potions work for you Fran. Anything is worth a try when you are in pain amongst other things. I'm going to have an herbal tea right now as it is hotter than tea with milk in, and supposedly healthier. Have a good day xx

Hello Kate

The lady said a month for pleurisy..it is difficult to place 5x 15 drops away from meals, especially when you are not at home. I will have to try harder. 😃

The lymph one I have had already, in fact it is an anti tumour one.

My lymphocytic blood level is higher than normal. The specialist explained that was because my immune system had to work harder. I suppose it has always been that way just that I haven’t had the test done so regularly. Now that I am in clinical trials, all that is closely monitored..

My lymphangioleiomatosis bio marker has lately fallen from 608 to 490 so who knows if it is a coincidence..but I was happy. I know it isn’t a curable disease and it fluctuates but still.

I went to an English bookshop I know this morning and stocked up 😊

I have just bought The Beautiful Cure, Harnessing your body’s natural defences by Daniel M. Davies. He is an immunologist. I think I heard about it on radio 4 or read about it in the Sunday paper. I see Stephen Fry recommends it and says « Reads like the best kind of adventure story ». Well that suits me!

Have a lovely herbal tea xx

Fran

Yes Fran it can be difficult when you are away to stick to normal routines with food ect. Sounds like an interesting book. Adventure sounds good to me also. Need things to take our minds off things. Clinical trials can be good as you get things that are not available in normal medical settings. Have to email a freind about cancelled meeting , have a good nights sleep. Speak to you again soon Katexx

I do hope you’re homeopathic meds work. It’s -2 here but there is a biting wind so it feels much colder. My teacher daughter is happy - a snow day tomorrow. We were due to have our granddaughter for the weekend but we’ve had to cancel because the roads are too bad to travel on!

in reply to helenlw7

Thank you Helen, I am yet to be convinced but at this stage it is worth a try.

I imagine it is really cold..and keeping us indoors!! Hope it gets better for you xx
