You have my sympathy, but since all the hospitals should be able to communicate with each other it should be okay. Since we moved to the Welsh/English border between us we seem to have visited every hospital within 20 miles. I have learnt to carry my results from various tests around with me because cross border communication is difficult, you might feel more confident doing that. You usually have to ask for them. Just remember that they are trying to do the best for you. Having a procedure cancelled is miserable, but I am afraid it seems to be part of the modern NHS. Try not to let it get you down, but it is annoying. So far I have had my cataract surgery postponed 3 times. It is due on Tuesday, but I have to ring up on Monday to confirm. Hope they answer the phone, they don't always. I hope everything works out for you and your thoracic appointment goes well. Good luck xx

Hello Dion3844o1 .

Of course you're upset. That's awful. All the anticipation, getting out and going there, waiting for hours and hours. It must have been just so frustrating. Carnival567 has added good advice, so all I will say is I'm sorry you had to go through that. *Hugs*

It is so upsetting and frustrating to have your procedure postponed. I totally empathise - when I was told one of my operations may not go ahead I burst into tears! It did go ahead later, but I remember how distraught I felt thinking I would have to go home, go through the waiting & psych myself up again. Soul-destroying! Hope you will get it done soon. Hugs xx

If we cancelled as much as the hospitals do, we would be dropped from their lists and told to go back to our GP to re-refer.

Hello there, no wonder you feel fed up, not only do you have to cope with your health issues but also the system that treats you and sadly hospitals and GPs are under a lot of pressure from varied demands, so sometimes have to make decisions we the patient dont like. Hope you get a quick reschedule, take care .
