Hi Andy. Swine flu is covered by the flu jab, so if you've had one you should have a reasonable degree of protection. 🌞

HI Pam, I thought it depends on the flu jab:) I think that they cover different strains dependent on what is expected and also on where you are located. Unfortunately due to a lot of travelling at the back end of last year I missed it. When I settled back into the routine I was hit with my exacerbations over Christmas and new year and then again a couple of weeks ago. I think I had one flu strain during that and I was on Tamiflu (felt like I had been hit by a bus while I had the flu). As I am not still fully recovered from these I have put of both the Flu Jab and the pneumococcus jab. So not yet covered. I need to see my pulmonary doctor this weekend so maybe she will get them sorted out, I know she wanted to do it earlier.

:) no usually it's worse. Kidding.

The winter here is pretty good with temperatures being normal but there is a lot of wind hence the sand in the air and of course the germs thrive in the region. So flu and colds are very common. The temperature will start rising now and gets to crazy levels I have seen 50+ so AC is on all the time and this itself tends to give problems with dry air and moving any bugs around. But it's not all bad:)

50 plus would make me seriously breathless.an osculating fan and you put your face nextto it and the breeze helps.or a hand held mini one whe n your out.sorry for typing mistakes no sleep yet.its a perk being able to travel the world on work.what was the air quality like in Moscow.?

Moscow was very poor air quality they do what they can to keep places clean and tidy but the amount of vehicles putting out fumes (most of the diesels pour out black smoke they are old and not very well maintained especially the diesel local transport) makes it a losing game. Along with the traffic chaos during the day due to the gridlock and the industry inside the city (power stations and the like that used to be outside but city growth is huge)

I enjoyed my time there but some days breathing was hard.

A great place to visit as a tourist but stay in the centre the suburbs are not so pleasant still interesting though
