I generally don't but have had the flu and sure do now. Hope I won't once I am over the flu.

I should also mention that I often get dizzy when doing a spirometry test and the last one I did the tech told me I was lifting my shoulders which tenses up that whole area and restricts blood flow to the brain and that is what causes the dizziness so paid attention on the next blow and didn’t raise my shoulders or tense up but rather relaxed my shoulders which alleviated the dizziness. I'll try to pay more attention next time I am coughing to see if that is what I am doing and see if I can relax my shoulders which will hopefully solve the problem, and maybe you could see if perhaps that is what you might be doing as well.

I do. Probably I am hyperventilating with the coughing and that affects the blood pressure. Either way I feel exhausted!

I do as well, spoke to the GP and was told not to worry about it, it is a natural effect

Yes, I do sometimes if I’m coughing too much or too severely. I either see stars in my eyes or get dizzy. I try to only cough if I feel like I’m going to bring up phlegm otherwise I do breathing exercises and huffing. You should have a look on you tube, there are lots of vids on there to help with coughing the right way.

Yes it is important to cough, to make sure you clear all the gunk from your chest, you just have to be careful how you do it. I think if you go dizzy every time you cough maybe try talking to your doctor about it.

I'e been diagnosed with cough syncope!

On having a cough with chest infection can nearly black out. Sometimes find myself sinking to my knees.

I just don't drive if unwell coz never know when could happen
