OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW !

Hi guys I feel much better today as I think I just caught a nasty chest infection in its tracks ... Started my emergency pack of abs straightaway 4 days ago and thankfully I'm feeling ok ish today and believe me I know about infections ... I'm really posting this to say I have finally updated my profile pic as the 1 I used when I joined was on a day when once again had had a chest infection for 2 weeks and took the pic whilst bored but looked ridiculous and like death with a strange fluffy hat stuck to my head ... so there aah thats better now not much improvement on my face as can't work miracles but it makes me feel slightly better at least ... Mel xx xBelated Happy New Year to everyone xxx

Your photo is lovely Kemety but you know, I liked the other one two :) I felt it marked you out as having a bohemian flair. So glad to hear you managed to stop one exacerbation in it's tracks. It's nice to occasionally feel like you still have done power over what's happening to you. All the best for 2018.

Hello Mel

Glad you caught that chest infection in time..I hate them too!!!🙃

I have been trying to fight something of the sort for a few weeks now, when I raise my Prednisone or take a couple of days of nebs it stops, so I think it must be LAM etc..

I don’t want to use my rescue antibiotics unless I really have to because I have had so many courses in the past I am running out of options..

Also I don’t do well with heated places and everywhere is overheated in Switzerland, then you go out in the freezing cold..such changes of temperature..

I like your new picture LAM sis!! 💕

Wishing you a lovely 2018 xx

Thanks Fran... well should be at Nottingham today to see the prof but couldn't go as its such a long trip and I need people to help me like getting on train then getting into the hosp as it's huge and I can't walk far with my breathlessness and all my oxygen cylinders I need for the 12 hour trip so my family take turns but had to rearrange 😟😭. Oh well on a better note I start my 2nd PR tomoz I only managed to do 3 out of the 12 on the 1st course due to a bad chest infection so they want me to complete a full course so asked me to get myself feeling better and gave me 2 months to recuperate hence that's why im starting tomoz (think they felt sorry for me) ... the transplant team will not consider me without doing a PR xxx Hope you Bea and aria had a wonderful xmas or at least a relaxing one oh and how was your spa treat ? 😉🙄

The NHS does provide help and transport ask the prof..let me know ..hopefully some preventative help..so you don’t get so many chest infections..hope it goes well for you my LAM Sis!!! 💖

The first PR was hard then it got better but some days my muscles were burning due to low oxygen. The worse are the adductors, the thighs.. no strength there, physiotherapist said it is the worse for people with respiratory problems..

I am still at the Spa, renewed until Monday so nearly a week in total. I was supposed to leave tomorrow but I feel out of it with Dad’s death and all..and there was still the after holiday special offer, so it’s a good deal. Totally quiet. I swim 30 mn in the morning, inhaling exhaling then lunch then there is usually a beauty treatment or reflexology or sthg included, then I go on the treadmill for 15mn trying to get my heart rate just walking uphill like..

My back hurts though still, not lumbar but chest, I think I tighten my muscles at night when I breathe or cough..anyway it is a treat to do nothing, no shopping, no cooking, no chores 😂

Let me know how you got on sweetheart, going all that way you want some answers. I always wondered why they had to put the whole set in Nottingham, honestly not the easiest place to get to for patients!!

Goooooood luckkkk Sis xx
