Little hint from my Bea

Little hint from my Bea

Hello BLF friends,

Daily meditation 🧘‍♀️ before going up the mountain ⛰

Being present or living the present will be beneficial for anxiety relief. As we tend to anticipate what is to come, we tense up and so starts negative self-talk..For us with a chronic illness, it is more essential to escape from stressful situations as they can impact on our health

Building confidence with gratitude: I have a lot to be grateful for. I tend to forget it on bad days and indulge in self-pity. I have learnt to build up self-confidence by trusting my own body, listening to my inner intuitions. I know how I feel right now and I know who to ask for help if needed. Most of the times I know what to do about it. I tend to seek confirmation to alleviate my doubts. It’s normal I am human.

Breathing Meditation: What I wish mostly is to breathe freely..

Have a good dayxx

Thank you for your advice.....I try and ' bookend' my day with a meditation, I don't know how I would manage without it.

Sending you best wishes.

Thanks for this Fran, some very poignant advice for all of us I think. And you are so kind to take the time to do this for us all when I know you have so many family worries and health issues yourself! I hope you had a restful day yesterday and I wish you a lovely day today xxx

Hey its my pleasure ❤ And yes yesterday was ok...I opted for the library and festive story time in the end. They were entertained and I sat in the warm with a coffee! We were all happy with that 😂

Thanks, Fran. Just what I needed! I've done the breathing one so far. You're very kind trying to help us all. I would like to get into a meditation habit, but fail every time. There's a long story there! I'm glad you though are using it to help. Your Bea is quite right! Good luck with your day, your own health and your Dad's. Stay strong....your Dad will be loving to see you and have you check his progress and comfort, even if he doesn't say so. I cared for my elderly father for his last two years, and I know how their minds work. He's of the 'don't say much' generation! A grumble means a lot to them! Ha!

Big hug, Fran, I know it feels as though you're soldiering on alone just now, what with your brothers disinterest and all. But you're not - you've got us all, and whatever life brings for your Dad, you'll feel much more settled afterwards, knowing you did what you could. But only what you can....you'll be no help to him or Bea....if you overdo the helping. I've had to learn that myself, with both my father in the past, and my mother now. We all have to get ourselves somehow through these very difficult times, and stay ourselves...don't give all your strength away.

Thank you Penny 🌹

You know what elderly dads are like!!

Yes he moans and groans but he can’t do without me! 😉

Got his Dundee cake and his Sunday papers, arrived there and he fainted!

The arrhythmia I think..so I said that’s the effect I have on you 😃 we had a laugh..

I think he was ready for his lunch, now it is my turn to go up to the cafeteria..

Regarding meditation it is hard to get the hang of it. I do at least 3 at the moment because it takes me 2 to unwind and third time I’m totally focused and relaxed. Then I feel I can face the day. But in bed on youtube on iphone with earphones, propped up so I can breathe nicely.

At night I use them to fall asleep again..

Start with the 10mns ones, choose a voice and a style you like.

Have a nice Sunday xx
