Sorry you missd your Breatheasy, Margaret, but it's more important to keep warm in this cold weather. Try to keep cheerful.

Hi Dorothy. Sorry you lost your matron as i have Been told. Have matron. For 8 weeks. Then have to be rerefered by Doctor etc also what i find silly is if you hospitalised. For more than 3days also have to be rerefered which is a bore you take care Dorothy and i hope you get your antibiotics .

I hope your visit goes well with your matron Margaret. It is very cold, try to keep warm. I don't suppose you're suffering with your hot turns (sweats) at the moment. I've got the heating turned up to 20 and its still cold. Wear a warm dressing gown with your kaftan! Talk later. Love Lilian xxxxxx

I can imagine how you must be struggling especially with Frank not being well. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Home Help or something. Someone who could tuck you up with a nice cup of tea whilst they do the housework and cooking and pop to the shops and chemist etc. etc. It would take a few problems away and you (and Frank) could concentrate on getting better. Stay warm tonight. Love Lilian xxxxx

Hope everything gets organised soon for you Margaret, it seems such a waste of time all this faffing about, not to mention the anxiety it causes. It is very cold here too, unusually so, apparently not snowed for seventeen years. The Forest of Dean looks beautiful in the snow, not that I have been running about in it, but sat in the car while Peter walked Bracken. I hope you and Frank keep well xxx

Long time for no snow I imagine the children in the area will be delighted I Bet Bracken wonders what is going on .The Matron came yesterday then told me she was off on leave till 29th when she will see me again dont believe it happening again she seems quiite sure that I have Bronch I gave her a sample But the Hospital Dont want a sample till 29 th she said colour was classic .I have Been Booked in for a HRCT scan and then they willspeak to me about results. Apparently im to see a Doctor who specilises in Bronch and now that i am no longer on the list at hospice for a bed. I am going to see someone about pain management .Also Matron has given me a prescription for extra lorazapam to help with my anxiety I am suppossed to Be going to the hospice tomorrow not Been for a couple of weeks But im finding it difficult to get Dressed and leave the Bedroom for more than a couple of hours in my foolishness a couple of months ago I Bought some tickets to go to the panto with Breathe easy stupid idea .How are you Doing are you getting along with the oxygen xxx

I do hope you get a proper diagnosis at last, it seems ridiculous that you have such problems and they haven't properly addressed it. At least an expert in bronchiectasis should be able to move the diagnosis on for you. I hope you can get to the panto it should take your mind off things a bit if you manage it. We are going to our grandson's Christmas show at his nursery. Should be fun, you never entirely know what little ones are going to get up to! As to the oxygen, I am managing it all right, but have not had a review yet as the nurse went to have surgery and is not back at work yet. With luck she will be back in the New Year, I hope she is ok. Needless to say there is no substitute as it is a very specialised skill. The cataract surgery has been postponed until February and I have to send the ophthalmologist the results from PFTs and heart catheterisation. I am still trying to get the results from the respiratory physician's dozy secretary. I have had the catheterisation results, which confirm pulmonary hypertension and a small aneurysm, so the next thing presumably will be an appointment to discuss that lot. Meanwhile I am looking forward to the family gathering at Christmas, especially as I don't have to do any of the planning! Love to you both xx

I am so pleased you were able to get to the hospice after all. Well done you! I hope you are not feeling too exhausted tonight. I had my INR checked today and confessed that I was a bit under par. Next thing I know I have a telephone conversation with the GP, an appointment next week and strict instructions to go to see doctor immediately if I get worse! That's the trouble with this illness isn't it, so up and down. Sleep well xxx
