Hi Lejaya

Sounds like mucus stuck in there.. you need physio to shift.,

You can try the huffing technique so you expectorate see on youtube..

Hello lejaya .

I have "crackling" like rice krispies. My disease has narrowed my small airways so when air passes through it has to squeeze through thus causing these little popping noises. I barely have mucous. So, I suppose mucous could be one cause or inflammation of your airways.

Our lungs are complicated organs. It took three specialists to give me a diagnosis and so many tests. They all came up with the same diagnosis. But it took forever. If you don't see improvement perhaps try a different pulmonologist. Get a second, third opinion.

I really hope it gets better soon. Take it easy. Sending you a gentle hug.

Hi Lejaya, I have just started second course of steroids for inflammation in lungs etc. This is week 8; after 3 antibiotics and 3 days in hospital. Just feels never-ending. I have copious amounts of phlegm to clear each day and still have constant rattle & wheeze. Wish I had something to recommend but I've tried all my natural remedies too and nothing seems to be working! Fingers crossed we'll see alight at the end of this tunnel soon x
