I have sarcardosis and have 47%lung capacity and I am a welder, is this bad and should I stop welding to sustain my health?

Unless you are use a mask that has pumped in FRESH air. Then it is time to change jobs, a filter mask is of no use, it will not remove the harmful gases. I regret welding along with smoking tobacco, now it's too late

My Dr. Is treating me with meds now. I will see him soon for a follow up, then we will see.

I would. My dad was a welder since he was 15 years old it eventually cost him his life along with smoking.

Considering I have sarcardosis, does anyone know if this would qualify me for social security disability?

Hi, it is not adjudged on your condition but upon its impact on your day to day living. If it stops you doing what you need to do then please put in a claim, but take advice first. Try CAB.
