Glad you got it sorted. Renewal is usually by post or online, in this area.

well I did all the work 3 years ago you would think they would have sent a letter with multi-option answers

Why they can’t just keep proper records and automatically renew it for those who have obviously needed one for many years, have been assessed or have the DLA/enhanced mobility PIP is beyond me. I do suspect that they are manipulating the Blue Badge rules ( easily found on google) to justify their jobs. Otherwise a couple of people could easily run the department. Well done Anthony, I am waiting for mineto be processed, even though four weeks ago they told me that I had qualified for it with my PIP.

I started back in the days of the Orange badge I was about nearly 50 then now my doctor has put me on the frailty register at 85% as I have access to my records I just printed them off and bundled them up. Now to put my feet up with a nice G&T must admit it was a nice autumn morning today and it was nice sitting in the fresh air in town with a coffeee

Glad it was a good result day and you enjoyed the day out. Take care Ant and hopefully by next renewal they will have found an easier way for those like ourselves to renew the blue badge. It does waste a lot of staff time I would think. Or maybe they could make them last longer for those with chronic conditions that will not be getting better. Automatic renewal in these cases seems the simple solution.

I'd love to have seen Misty trying your g&t - don't suppose she could be tempted into trying it again - on camera?

I think that curiosity was a one-off but the camera is already ready for the candid shots

Hi

I receive higher rate mobility, and applied online.

You are able to upload all the relevant information.

Using my iPad I took a photo of my birth certificate for ID. a photo of my entitlement letter, and a selfie for my photo ID.

Up loaded when requested, on completion I was directed to my council web sight, where I paid my £10 fee.

That was Sunday night arrived following Saturday.

our council Sefton BC has no facilities to pay online and had no up to date proof of my benefit reason I had to get in touch with the benefits office

I received a reminder in the post. I rang in response and was subjected to a very lengthy "interrogation" after which I was told to wait a few days for the "Teams" decision. A few days after I Received a form to fill out and asked to provide a recent passport size photo which I did along with my cheque for £10. I have since had my replacement Blue Badge and I was very relieved as this has made my life so much easier.
