I gave up work 2 years ago. My health was quite bad both my lungs and my mental state. I have had asthma from 2 years old and it has rarely been controlled resulting in copd at 27 so when i finally reached 55 and woked full time since leaving school i felt i had had enough. I could do no more both ohysically and mentally.
I have been going to the gym 3 times a week to heath circuit classes. These have been great and i have improved.
This april i got married at 57 i must be mad he is 30 years my junior so this should be interesting longer term. Totally in love at the moment.

Hello Hopetorun, every best wish for many years of happy married life. As my daughter would say age has nothing to do with love and happiness. Glad the gym exercises are making you feel better. It is nice to hear some good news for a change, may it continue for a long time to come for you.
Good for you, they say life begins at 50, glad you are happy.
I think you do very well to do the gym 3times a week, wish I had the energy to do it, instead I seem to get weaker. The mind still works tho' it's the body that lets me down. Keep with the exercising in all ways.
