A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP DOCTOR TODAY

Well it is the GP for me today hopefully with the result of my baby scan it looks very dismal out, I nearly lost my medication again this morning and have come to the conclusion that the body is going into defence mode I always used to swallow all my tablets at one go so, I am thinking under the assumption that the body goes on alert and tries to prevent swallowing at one go. This was Misty after her visit to the vet. On this one Misty has bagged my laptop case for her bed this is just one corner of my room an electricians nightmare all the cables disappear down the back the music centre is one of her favourite posts to sit on she can keep an eye on what is going on in the corridor.

As with most appointments, I forgot a some of what I wanted to discuss with him one good thing he has reduced my carbocisteine as I am successfully keeping the gunge clear so now gone onto a maintenance dose of 1 twice a day, misty sure likes to rotate her napping spots this the longest for this one...lol Ant and geriatric cat.

most things went well Pam got my carbocisteine reduced to two a day he was thinking of the effects on my tummy. Ant and geriatric cat.

There were two kittens in my father's home.....one went into the office , grabbed a twenty pound note in its mouth and ran off with the staff in hot pursuit. I am sure Misty is much too well trained to try that trick.

I had a cat called Stripes who used to open magnetic fridges to steal the food inside. And a later edition called Tammy also had Stripes' trick of sneaking into kitchens and stealing pork chops cooking under the grill - not always my kitchen, either. Apologies to neighbours who had mistakenly left kitchen windows open as they cooked tea.

My new neighbour has a cat like that - well, two of them actually - the third one has better manners. They gain access via my cats cat flap much to her dismay - so now, when I'm not in the kitchen I keep it locked which rather defeats the purpose of having a cat flap. Before I knew we had such dodgy characters for neighbours I 'lost' the remnants of a Sunday roast, and about half a chicken. Lesson learned!

Have to admire their resourcefulness even if I did curse the loss of opportunity for a nice lamb casserole - and on the other occasion, chicken salad.

Mags perhaps you could invest in one of those cat flaps that incorporates a device for identifying the cat using it.with the price of lamb it would pay for itself in weeks lol x

there are catflaps and collars that work together cats who live in that house can only get in.

'Lesson learned' ski's, they'll be no more lamb rustled from my kitchen so no need for further investment. I did consider getting one that could be tuned into her microchip but one of the offending moggies is also a bit of a thug leaping out of the shrubbery to attack her from behind when she comes in through the flap, so anything that slowed down her entrance would make her more nervous about going out than she already is. I keep my squirty bottle of water by the door, ready and waiting but so far, rascalcat has escaped 'undrenched'.

Rascal cat seems a real nuisance and we need to come up with a plan to protect your dear lady cat whose names evades me?from the cheeky fellow.I was thinking of asking Ant but i believe 'misty' is also of the fairer sex,so we need someone on here who knows the psychology of'tom' cats to help out,,,,,,,,skisx

I think perhaps the psychology of the owners may be more useful in this case. They seem to be a nice young couple but with a young toddler and a baby obviously the cats aren't at the top of their list of priorities. For the last two weeks, they've been away on holiday, leaving the cats at home. I think someone was going in to feed them but I don't know how often, or if the cats were able to get into the house in their absence. I've been putting food out for them during this time (in the greenhouse, as I don't want to encourage them to come to the house) then I found out that two other neighbours have also been feeding them - it doesn't show, they're all a bit skinny.😾

As for Tom cats, I've had toms in the past and I've always found them to be far more affectionate than their sisters. But - I don't know how they behave when there's no one to return the affection, maybe that's the problem.😿

Almost forgot to add - my cat is Annie😺

it seems rather cruel to leave them to their own devices for so long?as you say the psychology of the owners will reveal much,i hope their toddlers fair better in the future,rant over.

You are so kind as are your neighbours to keep a caring eye on these bundles of fur and hopefully they are leaving much deposits for the owners to clean up on return....................love skis and as usual sleeping scruffy x

When misty adopted me I knew of her horrible past and mistreatment being something of a furbaby whisperer it took time and apart from one or two bites, she is coming around to me my secret nothing but patience and lots of love, oh! and the plant thing talk to them...Ant and the sleepy cat.
