I always have my cat Jimi watching me funny when I do exercise on my sofa, but at least I am not alone when I giggle. He is very supportive ๐Ÿ˜€

Aww he is lush, reminds me of the cat I had for 14 years, I found him up Northumberland he had been dumped so I took him home. He had a good life, still miss him. I'm good at finding animals, I found a Jack Russel the same way practically the same place, had him for twelve years, I thought it was a baby lamb and stopped to put it back in the field and it was a little, very tired and very hungry dog. He too had a good life. Love animals still got two dogs and two rescue parrots. Jimi looks very happy. Give him a hug from me. Xx

You can trust animals, they just make you smile, laugh even. I keep saying right that's it I'm never going to have another animal every time I loose one, but I always end up with two in the place of one. I used to take my sons dog out for walks when he worked away and his wife had just had there first child, he's a cross between a Lerger im not sure about the spelling and a dear hound he's big anyway beautiful, he was about three at the time. Anyway one day it was cold, snowing, miserable weather and I had taken him straight back to my house cos I thought what's the point in taking him home to have to collect him again in a few hours to take him out again, so after I took him out the next time I took him back to my house again, yes that's right I didn't take him back. My son phoned me later that night and asked where Brock his dog was and I just said I thought I would keep him for a few days to give Lindsey his wife a break when she has so much to do looking after the baby, well I still have him and he's 10 now. They had another child in no time at all and hadn't really time to take the dog out anyway with him working away, so the way I look at it I did them a favour, hope you agree. Now though my health has took a turn for the worse with this bronchiectasis and I'm relying on my eldest daughter to take him out for me, I'm hoping that soon I will get back to at least take him for short walks. He still has a good life, that's all that matters. Xx

I hope you soon can go with him on a short walk ๐Ÿ˜˜all 1000 steps has to start with one ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Another parrot lover! I have had my pair of African greys for 30 years, and they are still giving me grief :) I have gone to great lengths to be able to keep them after being diagnosed. The fids (feathered kids) now have their own room, with a spray system that damps down their dust before I enter their room and they have to have a shower before they are allowed out to play and interact with me. I also run 2 Hepa filters full time as well.

I have spent hours with them watching their own kind on youtube whilst sitting on my shoulders. Yes, they can see the screen, recognise their own kind and are fascinated by the videos.

That sound great your obviously looking after them very well. We have had our Blue and gold macaw for 18 years and the Green wing for roughly 12 years, the green wing parrot did have a partner but it died, the condition the two green wings were in when we got them was heart breaking, and we didn't get them for nothing we paid a lot of money for them just to get them away from how they were living. They had no feathers, it was terrible it took us a long time to get them into good condition like well one of them is now. The blue and gold parrot what we had first used to be in our house he is called Atocha after a ship wreck, he wasn't in bad condition but not good either, we moved him in with the green wing after the other one died. We have a brick build building what is quite big at the bottom of the garden, that's where we keep them both now to keep each other company. We are getting a flight made for them after Christmas to come out over the garden, although they have plenty room where they are, it would be nice to look out and see them flying around. Sometimes they come in the house for a couple of days at a time to give them a change of scenery. Love them. The blue and gold shouts my name well not my name but shouts Mam when he sees me. They are so funny, but African greys are the best talkers, my daughter has one. Yes they give so much pleasure when your not well, and they live a long time too. Lovely to here about someone else who cares. Xx

Always! Sometimes animals give you more back than any human could do. There feeling your pain or that you not well. Jimi my cat always starts licking my eyebrows when I wheezing a lot when I sleep, so I go up to drink some water. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

The parrots are great company and lovely to look at but as our friends the Greys on here will tell you they can give you a nasty bite when they feel like it too. I remember years ago when we had Atocha the blue and gold macaw in the house and he took a fancy to my finger I thought it was going to come right off. I literally had to price the beak open with my other hand to get free, oh it did hurt a lot. He used to sit on my springer spaniels back and get a ride, they got on really well till the dog got to old to be bothered, still lovely memories. X

Lol I guess the suites him yes I believe you to loose a pet can be devastating, special when you got them a small age. It's a part of your family they always be on your side. But I believe they had a beautiful life with you!

Blesses be. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
