Hi there,

I've been ill 9 wks now. Had an X-ray about 5 weeks ago and was informed it was pneumonia. I had a repeat X-ray on Monday and the GP stated pneumonia had cleared and the pericardial effusion has reduced. Does anyone know what this means? I've googled and came up with too much info to digest. Has anyone experienced or suffered with this?

Current complaint are still breathlessness, wheezing and fatigue. Also having chest pains and a tightness around front and left back of rib cage, it's like constant dull chest pain. When I saw my GP she said my chest was improving and appeared happy with progress. But she didn't give me any explanation to current symptoms or what is or why I had pericardial effusion and pneumonia. I was jut told to take it easy.

I guess I'm frustrated and looking for answers.

Regards,

Suzanne

No, never have.

Any ways, it means you are getting better, if you smoke, stop immediately

You have to be extremely careful, don´t get out, no cold winds, keep inside and warm, everything must be cleaned so you don´t get any infections
