Asthma?

Hi

My recent spirometer test improved a lot after I had been given the inhaler salbutamol.

On the fast breathing out I had to get to 70. I got consistently to 69.

My consultant says I have asthma?

I have been taking Fostair and don't seem to need anything else , my breathing seems fine.

I just wonder how the tests are classed as normal when I take an inhaler anyway?

Can bad chest infections leave you with asthma?

Is it likely to become copd or is it that already?

Someone advised me to post the question on here as there are so many knowledgeable people.

It's the improvement after salbutamol that is the reason for the diagnosis. With COPD you have little or no improvement with salbutamol.
