I am going to get a test done called spiro with reversibility as I'm being suspected of having copd.

After many chest infections I was finally asked "do u smoke" I said no but I did 17 years ago I honestly thought by this time there would be no connection . I was told the damage has already been caused, I was quite shocked . I am finding breathing out very difficult I hope they can help me

welcome niagra70 this site has a useful article on spiro reversibility, perhaps one of our moderators or more learned members on the site can guide you towards that article.

I am sure you will find the article very interesting and do not be to alarmed with your recent diagnosis after testing you may not even have copd and if you do copd is very manageable and with proper guidance and care there is no reason why you should not continue to lead a normal life................................cheers skis and scruffy cat

Hi I did that..just means that after the first function test they made me take 4 puffs of Salbutamol and see if it made a difference when they retested..well it didn't in my case..

Hope it works for you xx

The reversibility test is to determine if your symptoms are reversible to any extent. This differentiates between COPD vs Asthma, or COPD with an asthma component.

Still could be none of the above. Good luck.

Copd is very debilitating there is no cure and not much in medication you just have to live with it ?????
