Well FOUND OUT Why Having Barium Swallow

Had interesting chat with my GP and he told me what E.N.T Doctor had seen with throat endoscope thingy had done.

Well he called it RING Something and thats why barium swallow.

Just wish i could remember what doctor said about ring thing was/called but sounded like diaphragm but only thing i was sure of was ring something.

Anyway my GP said he had never heard of it SO guess all find out on 27 or soon after.

Hi PMRPete Cheers thanks for link AND do think your right.

Have not had reflux as such but have had trouble swallowing is just like the describe with regards bread.

But Most recently was in AE cubical and nearly choked on antibiotic THEM big nasty yellow one's

How hyronic is that.

Had horrendous trouble with my guts AND when they play up I know am in store for infection.

Hi Katie I think Pete was right too.

Had horrendous time with guts from bread geting stuck to big antibiotics.

To bloating and sickly starving feeling's THE be lucky I don't eat xray machine when I have swallow.

Hi Sassy think I might need it .... but in all honestly dose fill you with dreed fear AS having lung condition then needing other none related lung procedure.

Defo agree will know more on 27

They looked for that in me when I kept having swallowing problems. Cameras, barium swallows 24 hour acid monitors, pressure tests. All agony with bronch in the picture.Didn't find anything except a very poorly and damaged eosophagus. No apparant cause. All this at very expensive private centres and consultant. Finally my eosophagus split as a result of a bolus. Rushed to Warwick hospital, given lanzaprozole dispersible. Sorted! I hope that they sort you out if you do have a Shatzki ring. Keep going Jeff you are a star.

Hi Littlepom sounds like you defo had time of it too.

When I swallow is feels like my pipe is going to split BUT that's mainly bread but more recently big antibiotics have been getting stuck too.
