Just thought this job at BLF...

I just saw a tweet about this job going at BLF & when I checked the link and looked it I thought it might suit someone who lives in or near London who actually has lung disease but is still capable of working - it is office work so not too physically taxing. I would have loved to go for it if I lived close by but I don't. Good level of written English required, public relation skills etc ... good wage.. I think they ought to advertise on here & on their fb page really: blf.org.uk/digital-and-mark...

I was going to apply but i do not think i would have the tact and diplomacy to get through the interview, plus the salary is a bit low for my over budjet standard of living.

Seriously if people have the skills i imagine it would be a very good organisation to work for if one could put up with the daily commute to London and as the poster Pippa says i am surprised that it wasn,t mentioned previously on this site, perhaps it would have been construed as anti competitive advertising of a post and it needs to be advertised to a wider audience........good luck to any who may apply........skis

Just what I am looking for - if I still lived in London that is!

In the modern world I'm surprised that it's "London-based" - with the position being "Digital ..." why is there a need to go to work?

I used to run a plc's marketing .... from home! Yes, needs some visits to head office for meetings but the day-to-day, taking auto-redirected calls, liaising with colleagues is so easy nowadays.

£22-£23k in London is hardly likely to attract the best people for the job - really think BLF might revisit the position (there may be good reason for office-based ... I just can't see it.

Salary based in London position .The salary would not be enough to live on there. I would happy take it on for twice that and have a day in London every now and then for meetings etc .The majority could be done from home where it's comfortable lol xx wish anyone that applies good luck

The CEO, Dr.Penny Woods, recently joined us all in the rank of 'patient,' when she herself was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. Naturally I wouldn't have made this public here had she not already gone public with it on twitter during the 'battle for breath' campaign. I believe that just like each of us, she was quite shell shocked by the news.

Wow will look at that very sad xxx
