We are all different in how our conditions affect us Tweety. You really need to get back to your practice nurse for more precise instructions. Does it not say on the label on the packaging? Often when we are unwell they are happy for us to take more than usual and if it's helping you now then that's probably fine but you should check all the same. You could ask for a telephone appointment to save going to the surgery.

get a GP triage call and they can advise you. It's a rescue inhaler and ppl are different in how they use it as conditions are different .xxx

"The normal way for adults and children to use their inhaler is:

1 or 2 puffs of salbutamol when you need it

up to a maximum of 4 times in 24 hours (regardless of whether you have 1 puff or 2 puffs at a time)"

I have always been told to use it as and when I need to. When I am feeling more sob I take it once and if that doesn't work take it again. Some days I will only have a couple of puffs, other days 4/5.

When you next see your nurse/doctor ask for a spacer. This is a device which you attach to the end of your inhalor and enables more of it to go into your lungs.

check it out on Youtube, they have great videos on how to use it correctly.

you really do need spacer with it to get the best out of it ..the bigger the better.

Hi

Recommended is two puffs four time a day.

A chat with my respitory nurse suggested mornin, noon, teatime, bedtime plus any time in between. She tried her best. Only used it it once in past two weeks.

Mist inhalers are better taken with a space, less problems with coordination, and if you can't manage one inhaler keeping below the whistle, you can tidal breath, four normal inhalations will empty chamber.

For me, it is 2 sprays at a time. I hope that helps.
