Painful skin and steriods

Hello All

I'm on day 3 of my steroids and I've noticed I feel bloated and have painful skin to touch especially on the tops of my arms.. I seem to remember getting it last time I had steroids and when I mentioned it to the GP she looked at me gone out. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I feel bloated in steriods and much more hungry.

I've noticed skin more painful but do get sort of blood marks is if there's bleeding under the skin or perhaps bruising.

Worst symptom for me on steriods by far is dreadful insomnia.. can hardly sleep and felt very " hyped up."

Steroids change your whole body function and if you look at side effects leaflet it seems you can have almost any side effect on them! So I suppose it's just putting up with it till you're off them. I hate being on them and can never wait to stop them!! Have you got much longer? Xxx

Yes I'm getting the insomnia aswell although I don't feel tired during the day even when I've not slept when I'm on them so I suppose that's a bonus! I've got 3 more days on the full dose then I start running down so quite a while yet! I hate them but I suppose they are doing a job! Thanks for your reply xx

Yes it's funny that how you don't feel as tired as you think in the day despite hardly any sleep! I liken it to a car being permanently reved ( not sure if correct spelling!!) up and you can't turn the engine off ! As you say they're doing their job! Hopefully after 3 days as you run down the symptoms start to subside. Sorry you're having problems in the summer... 😉 good luck. Xxx

Yes it's annoying having this in the summer.. and I agree the give you a false energy... oh well I get more done anyway! Xx
