Did anyone watch the meteor show last night in the sky ....we bundled into the car about midnight blankets flask of tea and sandwiches...got to the local spot best visible for the naked eye to find everyone else had the same idea set up the chairs and blankets ...nestled in and watched the most spectacular array of meteors until 3am and was definitely in awe of the world and her wonders that came and went too quick for my camera lens lol happy Sunday evening all xxxx

Cause it has got a bed you can cuddle up in and watch the stars from. That's probably why we missed most of the show 😉

Great film, I prefer the black and white version of the film. I've never watched a meteor storm since lol 😂

Angie- We didn't see it due to the rain clouds but your comment jogged my memory of an incident a few years ago with an elderly couple we knew.

They (like you) packed up their flasks food and blankets and went to a dark carpark in the middle of nowhere. They sat for a couple of hours wrapped up and eating their sandwiches, when another car pulled up along side, then another until there was about four other cars there. They thought this must be a good spot if others are here. Shortly after another car pulled up behind them with headlights on full. A couple of men got out the car and started shining their torches into the cars catching people in the 'act' with people they shouldn't be with (if you get my drift). Then the torch was shined into their car and the police man holding his torch nearly fell over laughing when he saw two elderly people wrapped in blankets eating sandwiches and drinking tea!!! Obviously the elderly couple hadn't a clue as to what was going on, but were advised to leave the area as its not safe at 2 am in the morning.

Still makes me smile so I thought I would share

take care

Crying I know exactly what you mean how funny would tell you a story about what happened local to me but it would not go down very well as pretty sordid but in a funny lol poor old man and woman sitting waiting for the meteors to appear love it lol thankyou xxx
