Mesothelioma is a type of cancer caused by asbestos. At the moment, there’s no cure and, unlike some types of cancer, there’s no clear medical agreement about treatment.
That means, we need more research.
Our British Lung Foundation research team is investigating the issues that might stop someone from taking part in clinical research.
We’ve put together a short survey, asking people with mesothelioma what they think about taking part in research, and what barriers they might come across.
It’ll only take 5-10 minutes to fill in and is completely anonymous. I’m afraid this is only for people who have mesothelioma themselves, but if you care for or just know someone with this condition, maybe you could ask them to fill it in for us?
The results will be shared with the British Lung Foundation, mesothelioma researchers and patient support groups. We’ll use the information to see what can be done to encourage more people to take part in clinical trials. Hopefully, by increasing trial uptake, the outcomes for people living with mesothelioma will be improved.

I really appreciate any help you can give us with this!
All the best,
Bethany
