I found bronchiectasis is one of these vauge dx that can be changed at a drop of a hat.

Why becouse bronchiectasis is symtom of underlying condition and most likky not a cause.

Defo agree more needs to be done given immunty issues it usally involves.

You sound a lot like me, only I started having breathing issues in my late 30s. I'm now 68. I was diagnosed with Bx 5-6 yrs ago along with an immune deficiency (I have outpatient infusion treatment every 4 weeks during the past 4 yrs).

The trick is the balance of treating the Bx and asthma. 30 years ago, is was just a minor inconvence, but as the years progressed, it became a major issue.

I was able to work until i was 66 (I had a desk job and a very understanding boss). But my work ethic didn't allow me to put my health first. So since I have retired, my health has improved.

I have finally managed to get my illnesses under control. Last year, I mentioned to my specialist, that I felt I was getting the mucus up, but my chest always felt very tight (asthma) and short of breath. He changed my meds around and it made a big improvement.

Also, I had stem cell treatment in Dec 2015. So I feel that has helped. Also, I take turmeric (with pepper) every day for it's anti-inflammatory properties.

So, you are right. Do your research. This forum and the internet are wonderful resources. Also, think outside the box: Essential oils, certain vitamins or minerals. If your meds aren't working for you, talk to your specialist.

Hi there, could you tell me what outpatient infusion treatment is? And how do you take turmeric and pepper ,

Outpatient infusion takes place in a hospital. It's a department within the hospital. I go in at my appointment time and get hooked up to an IV med (Privigen). It takes about 3 hours, then I leave.

Turmeric works better taken with pepper. So for awhile, I would buy Turmeric at the local Wal-mart, or drug store (comes in capsule form) and take it with peppercorns. Now I go to a website that offers Turmeric capsules that include pepper and it's delivered to my house.
