Update on copious mucus vomiting/result Jackhammer Esophogus?...

Hi everyone a lot of you have took time to try and help me with my mucus issue, having copd bronchiectasis and emphysema I will produce mucus like a lot of you, in the past I have had endoscopy s which ruled out acid reflux but a few weeks ago I saw a professor who deals with esophogus problems I told him all about my copious mucus and vomiting he ordered a manometers test to be done to determine activity in the esophogus, it was horrendous made me quite poorly but the results are I. And I have a jackhammer esophogus which apparently is very unusual , I was pleased because he said this in itself will create mucus and obviously with my lung probs it's double whammy, so I'm trying out various tablets now I only hope one of them work because this mucus is awful and wearing me to a frazzle, if anyone has had or dealt with jackhammer esophogus it would be good to hear from you. It's a no for me Carol but it sounds aweful. At least now you know what is causing the probs and hopefully the tablets will work well for you. Hope so.

I'm so sorry that it turns out that you have yet another problem to deal with but at least you have found out why you have double the mucus all of the time. I do hope that they can get on top of it now so that you can be more comfortable. Do let us know how you go on.xx

Never heard of it Carol but I'm pleased they've eventually found out what causes so much mucus. Hope you'll be able to get some relief from it now.
