Loving the pulmonary rehab

End of week one and I'm loving it! The group's not massive, the two nurses fantastic and gently guiding us through the various gym things according to our abilities, really boosts up confidence, no matter how seemingly/comparatively tiny the effort...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes the rehab classes are ver good, so informative, and the exercises to keep you fit and moving and help with the breathing. Got to do them at home though.

I loved it too, my sessions ended last week so I've been doing the exercises at home this week but doing them on my own those two minute periods 'seems' to be longer than it was when doing them in the company of others. Still, never mind, I've been referred to start the gym classes and am waiting to hear when that will be - and in the meantime, I'll keep up the good work!

That's the spirit, keep it up, use it or lose it, and when it gets easy and a doddle to do, then increase the intensity a little more :)

This might be a stupid question but how do you get on a PR course?

i asked the consultant about it, it took some time as some places are busier than others, but really worth looking into

I asked my GP. He said the courses are very good, but did not know how to refer me - he asked the practice Respiratory Nurse to arrange it, which she did. Going on the course made such a difference to my life through my fitness.
