Tomato Growing.

Tomato plants don't like it

When you leave them on their own.

They get so short of water,

They wish they'd never been sown.

But now I've got it sorted.

For six days I left home.

And when I checked how well they'd done

Just look how much they'd grown! :-)

That's a handy little irrigation system.

It's working from a pump in a big water butt so could left for a couple of weeks. There's a danger of over-watering if the weather goes cloudy and damp, so I'm looking into controlling it from my iPhone rather than a timer. I'm no gardener, just like messing in the greenhouse. ;-)

Oh wow, looks like a good system you have there. Nine plants though? Do you have a small market stall or are you supplying all your neighbours?

I just enjoy growing tomatoes and also, they are part of my security system. If I get robbed whilst away in my campervan, no free homegrown tomatoes for my neighbours. ;-) My house is more secure when I'm away than it is when I'm home.
