PIP Assessment

Well got my PIP assessment at 11.30 tomorrow, the place I have to attend have just phoned me to see if there are any special requirements, I asked them if I could be seen in a downstairs room, they have said I can. They were really nice, just hope they are as nice tomorrow. I am making myself ill worrying over it, I know everything I tell them will be the truth, but you hear so many bad things that have been said about the assessments. Wishing you all the luck in the world Bernadette. Just be yourself and tell the truth of life with your condition. We don't have this in Ireland so I only know what I read here about it. But from what I've read the consensus seems to be that you describe how it is on your very worst day and make no references to good days.

Good luck for your assessment. Don't forget, you need to make it clear you have difficulties for more than half of the time so, at least 4 days out of every 7. xx

i work in an advice centre that assists people with their pip , esa etc. Yes tell the truth but go on your worse day dont tell them what you can do tell them what you cant do. They are watching how you walk sit stand even if your carrying a bag. Also its usually a nurse that does the assesment not a doctor. Being anxious and scared is normal and depending on what was wrote on your form helpful. i tell all my clients thats its their job to take people off pip so its in your best interests to recall how you felt on your worse day and use that has your basis for answering questions.
