Hi Lyn the picture reminds me of when we used to go to the bird sanctuary over Leicester way, they had a breeding shed to watch all the stages of chic development. Had my mothers day in March and birthday same weekend plus my grandaughters wedding, so I guess a year to remember one would say. Enjoy your day x

Many congratulations on your granddaughters wedding Katie, I'm sure she looked fabulous. I bet that was fabulous to watch the chicks ... they're so cute aren't they. This one was taken at Abbotsbury swannery. My resident swan over the lake has just had 6 a few days ago. I took around 1500 photos of them all, then guess what I did. I turned around to talk to someone and accidentally knocked my tripod with my foot which tipped my camera and 400mm zoom lens over the wall and into the lake. I was gutted. Camera not working and lens badly water stained inside. Thank goodness it was insured. xxx

I have been to Abbotsbury Swannery many years ago with my late husband, Sorry to hear about your camera but glad it was insured as we love all your pictures. xx

It's lovely there isn't it.

Serves my right for having such big feet. lol The good thing is, I do have another camera until the damaged one is fixed and I've treated myself to a new 600mm zoom lens. I've wanted one for a while and this incident has prompted me to buy one. It should arrive tomorrow or Tuesday, then I'll be back over the lake. lol xxx

Had a difficult week as our daughter in law has been in hospital because she's neutropenic and had an infection. Home now and doing better.

We are ok though and hope all is well with you Lyn.

Oh Lyn what a shame about your camera! Thank goodness you had it insured.

Keeping everything crossed for future chemo now. Hard to avoid all infection with a 2 year old in the house.
