Thank you I will let you know

Hi you can claim anything you want and I hope you are successful. The criteria is not what the illness is but how it affects you. Not sure if your symptoms would be considered severe enough at stage 2 to get benefits. But you never know.

I have stage two copd also moderates Sarcoid but claims were refused, they told me I was still fit to work.

My sister has COPD same level as you. She works but obviously has day to day problems. She has got pip mobility at standard level, and due to this also has a blue badge. When you get to your one to one interview you have to make sure you convince them of the physical problems you have. There is a web site that gives very good information on how to answer the questions on the form, it's called Benefits and works. Good luck don't let them put you off, a negative reply should always be challenged.

Hi Macca, best thing to do is make a claim no matter what, the most that can happen is a refusal if your fit enough to work. I get disability benefits but not solely for COPD.It is based on multi effects of different illness on my daily living ability. Benefits have changed now so it is somewhat harder to get them, so do not delay in making a claim.
