Hi everyone I haven't been on here for a while but just wanted to take a moment and thank the British lung foundation for all of their fantastic fundraising. My son dan ran the London marathon in memory of my mum his nan who died in October 2007 from copd for British lung foundation. I also got diagnosed a year after my mums passing so the disease has affected our family a lot. Anyway the Mara was a great experience and we met up with British lung foundation at mile 11 and cheered like mad blew whistles proudly wore our British lung foundation t shirts and we were very lucky in that we managed to see dan at mile 20 and again at mile 25! Needless to say I am a very proud mum his first ever marathon run in 4 hrs 30 mins. We then met some very kind man who showed us the way to the British lung foundation after party where food and drink was laid on for the runners and their supporters and dan got to have a very important and much needed massage. A very memorable and wonderful day well done everyone that took part met so many lovely people and well done to all the volunteers xxxx

What a lovely son you have! Well done to Dan and everyone else who ran to support charities.

Hi @Junegirl03,

Well done to Dan, and all the other runners - and a huge *thank you* from everyone at BLF for the fantastic fundraising and support that everyone did for us!

I hope he's been able to enjoy a nice relaxing rest since the weekend! :-)

Best wishes,

Ben
